Winter Series for 2012-2013 Starts This Weekend!

The Maine Chapter’s Winter Hiking and Outings Series for Winter 2012-2013 starts this weekend! Are you read to get out this winter for a snowshoe through the woods, a cross-country ski through the hills, a hike up a moderate peak, or a challenging ascent of an above tree-line summit? The Maine Chapter is offering all such winter outings and more. Keep tabs on the calendar page for trips that interest you. New to recreating in winter? Many of our trips are designed for first-time winter participants; just look for the “Trip Difficulty” ratings of “Easy” or “Easy to Moderate.” The AMC Maine Chapter’s experienced, volunteer leaders will organize and guide the trips, which are weather and conditions dependent.
