Requirements to become an AMC Trip Leader

Requirements for Candidates with no prior outdoor leadership experience:

1. Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older
2. Maintain current AMC and Maine Chapter Membership
3. Complete New Leader Application
4. Current WFA or First Aid Certification as required for activity (required for mentored trip)
5. Complete AMC Outdoor Leader Training
6. Demonstrate the required skills for the Activity
7. Co-lead three trips for the activity with two or more experienced Maine Chapter leaders
8. Complete a mentored trip for the activity with an experienced Maine Chapter leader

Requirements for Candidates with prior AMC or other outdoor leadership experience:
