Want a four-season escape where you can revel in outdoor natural beauty? A place with hiking, biking, and skiing trails close to Gulf Hagas? Where you can recreate all day, return for a family style, home-cooked meal, then retire to your own trapper’s cabin with gas lights and a wood stove? The Appalachian Mountain Club owns three Maine Wilderness Lodge properties—open to anyone—where you can do just that and more. These new log main lodges have refurbished trapper cabins, new central bathhouses, and wood-fired saunas. Andy Tinto, Facilities Manager of the Maine Wilderness Lodges, will talk on November 16, at 6:30pm at the Bangor Public Library, 145 Harlow St in Bangor, Maine. Evening parking is free in the municipal lot across the street. The talk is free and open to the public. For more information, download a flyer (132 KB) or contact John Mullens.
