Plant Inventory in Baxter State Park

In its second year, efforts are underway to inventory all of the vascular plants in the 200,00 acres of Baxter State Park. The first of its kind effort, is exceeding predicted expectations of total numbers of species; the initial expected number was about 500, but currently over 750 have been cataloged and the work is not yet complete.
