The Maine Chapter will host this five-part hybrid series designed to train new or refresh existing Leaders.

Registration

Registration is required for this activity. Please contact registrar Thomas OBrien

Virtual Sessions will be on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7-9 pm followed by a 6 hour in-person session. The evening virtual sessions will provide you with overviews and background information for the skills you need to be an effective AMC Trip Leader. The in-person session will help you develop your Leadership Skills through role play of various scenarios you may encounter while leading an AMC trip. You must attend all 5 sessions to complete this required Leadership Training.

Participants are welcome to join for a single session or the full series. Anyone completing the full series will receive a certificate of completion and be eligible for next steps towards becoming an AMC Leader. The Virtual Sessions will be recorded so that if you miss one virtual session, you can watch the session before the in-person sessions.

This series will cover all of AMC’s Recommended Elements of Leadership Training as outlined in the organizational Leadership Requirements & Guidelines. Please contact the Maine Chapter Leadership Development Committee Chair if you have any questions concerning how this hybrid session fits into your path to becoming an effective AMC Leader.
