New Book on Backcountry Skiing in the Northeast

Experienced backcountry skier and author David Goodman compiles backcountry ski opportunities in the northeast in his newly published book “AMC Best Backcountry Skiing in the Northeast.” This 2010 AMC publication features 50 trips in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, and New York. In-depth details of Tuckerman Ravine as well as backcountry lodge-to-lodge trips in Maine’s 100-Mile Wilderness area are highlighted. Technical details include distances, elevation, topo maps, difficulty ratings, and directions are part of each trip description.
