Maine’s Most Remote Spot

They are calling it “Project Remote;” a Florida couple with their toddler daughter are seeking the remotest spot in each of the 50 U.S. states. Although remoteness is more of a qualitative characteristic, these scientists by trade are using the distance from roads and towns as their quantitative means of determining the most remote spot in each state. They are doing this while pouring over maps. But then, like good scientists, they ground truth their calculation- they are attempting to visit each spot. Where is it in Maine?
