Great news! The Land for Maine’s Future program has been replenished with $40 million from the state budget. This is the second largest infusion of funding in the program’s history, and it could not come at a more important time. Not only has the pandemic moved more people than ever to get outdoors, straining our parks, lands and trails, but land conservation is critical to slowing and adapting to climate change. AMC proudly co-leads the LMF Coalition, and we could not be more grateful to our partners and the elected leaders who saw fit to invest in access to recreational opportunities as well as forests, farms, and working waterfronts.

We are especially appreciative of the leadership shown by Senator Cathy Breen (@SenatorCathyBreen), Representative Patrick Corey (@representativepatrickcorey), and Governor Janet Mills (@GovernorJanetMills).
