Eric James Robinson, 33, died unexpectedly of a massive stroke, December 7, 2002 at EMMC, Bangor. He was born at Chelsea, MA on Jan. 21, 1969, the son of Jerral “Robbie” and Eileen (Pinkham) Robinson.

He was graduate of Machias Memorial High School and the University of Maine at Machias. Eric was a sales associate at the L.L. Bean Outlet Store in Ellsworth. Eric had a passion for the out of doors whether it be biking, kayaking, backpacking or hiking, and was particularly fond of Cadillac Mountain.

In addition to his parents of Machias, he is survived by his wife, best friend and soul mate, Kristen M. Miner Robinson; one sister, Deborah and husband, Robert Parker of Bar Harbor; his father-and mother-in-law, James and Theresa Miner of Machiasport; brother-in-law, Adam Miner of Saco and several aunts and uncles. He will be remembered by his brothers of the KMA fraternity and his co-workers at the L.L. Bean Factory Store. As an organ donor, Eric was able to give many others a happy holiday and a chance to live.

Note: The AMC Maine Chapter was designated as the recipient of donations made in Eric’s memory. The Trails Committee is using these donations to purchase trail maintenance equipment that will be used in the upkeep of the trails that Eric hiked and cared for so much.
