Chapter Youth Program Training

There is a Chapter Youth Program training course for potential new Chapter Youth Program leaders on December 1, 2012 at YMCA’s Camp Harrington in Boylston, MA. A description of the requirements for becoming a Chapter Youth Program leader can be found here. Maine AMC leaders meet some but not all of the requirements to be a CYP leader. The Maine Chapter of AMC is in the process of building a Chapter Youth Program. CYP Chair Jeanne Christie is currently exploring a couple of promising opportunities to partner with organizations to lead groups of children or teenagers on one-day outings. If there is sufficient interest in Maine (8 or more individuals), then a training program could be scheduled in state this spring.
