—The Tuesday evening program on AMC Summer Camps has been cancelled. The snow forecasts for Tuesday and Tuesday night are too consistent to ask presenters and attendees to come to Brunswick. Please pass along this message to others, especially those who may not have access to these electronic notices. We will work to reschedule this program, but in the meantime here are some links to each camp with additional information you can search out:
Cold River Camp
Echo Lake Camp
Knubble Bay Camp and Beal Island
We are all sorry for this cancellation and appreciate your understanding. John Mullens, Chair of Meetings and Education Committee, Maine Chapter, AMC—

Want to relive a wonderful childhood experience at summer camp? Want to attend summer camp as an adult? Join us on Tuesday, March 19th at the Curtis Memorial Library, Brunswick, for a potluck dinner and program on three AMC camp properties in Maine and Evans Notch – Cold River Camps, Echo Lake Camps, and Knubble Bay Camp. Camp managers will describe the facilities, recreation opportunities, organized activities, and costs at a Maine Chapter evening potluck. Learn about these three properties’ locations, program offerings, lodging facilities, and calendars. Each camp is managed by an AMC volunteer committee, is open to AMC members and guests, and strives to be a model for the wise use and appreciation of Maine’s natural environment. Start your summer “want-to-do” list by joining us to learn about these three summer camps. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn and ask questions and see which facility is best for you and your family and friends. Representatives from all three facilities will speak at the Curtis Memorial Library, 23 Pleasant Street, Brunswick, 04011. Join us for a potluck dinner at 6pm and our speakers at 7pm. Bring a potluck item to share and your own dinnerware (plate, utensils etc.). Or, simply come for the talk and slideshow at 7pm. Drinks will be available. For more information, please download a flyer (148 KB PDF) or email Meetings and Education Chair John Mullens. Both the potluck and event are free and open to the public.
