Please join us on Tuesday March 12 when Cloe Chun, co-founder and instructor of the Maine Master Naturalist Program (MMNP), will be the focus of an AMC education evening program at Audubon’s Fields Pond Nature Center in Holden, Maine. Cloe will describe the program and demonstrate some of the program’s teaching techniques. The MMNP trains individuals to actively care for Maine’s natural environment, to teach natural history, and to be volunteer naturalists at nonprofits and schools throughout the state. The MMNP provides comprehensive instruction and field experiences on ecological principles, wetland and upland ecology, identification of Maine’s flora and fauna, geology, and teaching skills. Cloe Chunn, MMNP board member and instructor, will speak at 7pm at Maine Audubon’s Fields Pond Center, 216 Fields Pond Rd, Holden, ME 04429, about 15 minutes south of Bangor. Parking is free and plentiful. This program is co-sponsored by the Maine Chapter of the Appalachian Mountain Club and Maine Audubon. For more information, download a flyer (96KB PDF) or email John Mullens or Audubon Staff Naturalist Holly Twining. All AMC events are free and open to the public.
