Registration is Open for AMC’s 137th Annual Summit

The 137th Annual Summit of the Appalachian Mountain Club will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2013, at the Four Points by Sheraton in Norwood, Massachusetts. We are pleased to announce that Audrey Peterman, President and Co-founder of Earthwise Productions, will be the keynote speaker. FMI. Audrey, along with her husband, Frank, has been credited with making millions aware of the National Park System and its relevance to their lives. Audrey is a national-award winning environmentalist and is a role model for engaging citizens in conservation. She brings a unique understanding of what motivates people of color to connect with the outdoors.
Audrey participated in several White House initiatives including the launch of America’s Great Outdoors and the White House Conference on Conservation. Additionally, Audrey is the recipient of the Environmental Hero Award from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, as well as the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Outstanding Citizen Conservationist Award from the National Parks Conservation Association.
