This past June, five wounded warriors from recent American wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Vietnam set out to summit the 20,320-foot Mount McKinley (also known as Denali) in Alaska. They spent 21 days battling snow, ice, and severe winds, not to mention their personal physical disabilities (including a couple of double amputees)from injuries suffered during war. Their challenges certainly bring new meaning to the phrase “one step at a time.” Check out this video to see some of the footage and hear their stories.
