New Book on the Maine Appalachian Trail

As part of the “Images of America” series, the book “Along Maine’s Appalachian Trail” is now available. Written by Maine’s own David B. Field, the book chronicles the history of the trail in Maine, the economic engine of the forested landscape, and the volunteer spirit that maintains the trail. Several historical images are also included in the book. Copies are available for purchase, and Maine Appalachian Trail Club members receive a discount.
