Are you interested in building your trail skills, gaining hands-on experience, and taking the next step toward becoming a trail leader?

The Appalachian Mountain Club’s Trail Skills College returns May 14–17, 2026, at the Camp Dodge Trails Training Center. This four-day event brings together volunteers and professionals from across the trails community for an immersive experience focused on learning, collaboration, and stewardship.

What to Expect

Trail Skills College offers a wide range of trainings, workshops, and evening programs designed for all experience levels:

  • New volunteers looking to get started in trail work

  • Experienced trail workers building advanced skills

  • Emerging leaders interested in leading trips and crews

  • Professionals expanding their technical knowledge and network

 

You’ll learn directly from experienced instructors and industry leaders while working alongside others who share a passion for trails and conservation.

Registration opens Tuesday, March 31 at 12:00 PM. A registration link will be shared at that time.

Workshop space is limited to ensure high-quality instruction, so early registration is encouraged.
