A workshop will be held on Tuesday April 25th entitled “Skills to Fight Back for Maine’s Environment Advocacy Training.” This worksop will be in Hallowell from 6:30-8:30PM. AMC is working with The Wilderness Society, the Natural Resources Council of Maine, Maine Conservation Alliance, and the Maine Public Health Association to put on fun, skills based advocacy trainings across the state. You will learn about the current threats and our efforts to protect our public lands, defend the crucial Clean Air Act, and preserve the EPA’s budget. Then you will learn the skills to make a difference – how to lobby your legislators on issues that matter to you, how to make an impact with your unique story, and tools to communicate your message. There will be fun actions to take and plenty of networking with other Mainers who want to take a stand right now for Maine’s environment. We’ll even provide some snacks to keep you fueled for action! Event is FREE, but please RSVP.

If you cannot make this date, the same workshop will be held in Bangor on April 27th from 6-8PM. Event is FREE, but please RSVP.
