Join us for an unforgettable weekend at Camp Wavus in Jefferson, ME, set on the beautiful shores of Damariscotta Lake. This year’s FallFest & Annual Gathering offers a range of outdoor activities, including hiking in Camden Hills, Dodge Point Preserve, or Hodson Preserve. If you like to paddle, sign up for a lovely paddle on Damariscotta Lake. We even have an easy mountain biking ride at the Topsham Trails.
A special highlight of the weekend will be an interpretive walk led by renowned terrestrial ecologist Tom Wessels at a nearby land trust on Saturday at 1:00 PM. This session costs $15 per person, with limited space available. Sign-ups open on September 20.
Later in the day, at 4:00 PM, Tom will lead a session discussing participants’ photos. He’ll explain how rock walls, fields, and other features of the terrain can tell us about the past. Send Phil Coyne your photos!.
On Saturday evening, we’ll hold our Annual Business Meeting, followed by a recognition of members and leaders. The evening will conclude with an engaging presentation by our featured AMC speaker. The majority of activities, the business meeting, and the evening presentation are free to attend.
Registration is now closed.
